Supporting School Girls & Reducing Waste

Ecosystem Conservation & Local Empowerment

Ecosystem Conservation & Local Empowerment

Tanzanite Travels proudly supports the RADA MiPad project. By providing rural school girls with reusable sanitary pads, the project achieves two critical sustainable goals: supporting girls with their access to education and contributing to the reduction of plastic waste.

Menstrual sanitary products contribute more than 200,000 tons of plastic waste per year, and research shows that girls can miss up to 60 days of school per year due to a lack of access to affordable and manageable sanitary products. RADA's MiPad offers a solution to these two serious issues, and we are proud to be affiliated with this sustainable NGO.

Ecosystem Conservation & Local Empowerment

We are committed to supporting anti-poaching initiatives, research and training, and community awareness and empowerment by contributing conservation levies and donations to African Parks, Sabi Sand Game Reserve, and SAN Parks. Ensuring that local people are invested in sustaining their natural resources protects the reserves from potentially more destructive forces.

The national parks and private reserves that we support are all deeply committed to investing in conservation for the well-being of the future of our planet. We support the initiatives that are being undertaken and encourage our guests to donate where they can.
